6 Day Great Migration Safari: Serengeti & Ngorongoro
As a rule of thumb: 2–3 days if you're short on time or adding safari onto a Zanzibar trip, 4–7 days for a proper first safari, and 8+ days if you want to combine the Northern Circuit with the Great Migration, the Southern Circuit, or a full Zanzibar stay.
When is the best time to see the Great Migration?
The herds move year-round, but river crossings typically peak from July to October in the northern Serengeti and Mara area, while calving season runs January to March in the southern plains. We route our migration itineraries to match whichever phase falls in your travel dates.

How far in advance should I book?
